Púcon - let's climb a volcano

Pucon has a volcano that you can climb and slide down, so it was one of the places we'd been most excited about visiting. There is actually loads to do in Púcon and we tried to take advantage of it all.

Day 1 it rained. A-Lot

Day 2 - get me up that volcano so I can slide until my heart's content!

We took the Jeep up to base camp at 6am. The Jeep wasn't that comfy but had a full section of Argentine house music to enjoy! Swings and roundabouts...

The trek up was tougher than we thought!

Guide "Do you want to take the chair lift half way up, it will make it much easier?"

Cpt. Hindsight "yes, that will be the sensible thing to do so my heart doesn't explode on the way up."

Sarah took the hike up in her stride - it was no problem, was it Sarah???

We eventually made it to the top, all 9,301ft of it and it was just incredible!!!!

Maté on top of a volcano, don't mind if I do.
Where the Magmas made

Sexy!

Time to slide down... Oh Yeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Great day, day 2!
Day 3, time to relax in the natural hot springs. What better way to sooth the muscles than in a gran baños...
Day 4, enough relaxing. I want to HydroSpeed.
I know many of you will be asking, what is HydroSpeed? Well in four simple steps.
Step 1 - get a wetsuit, a helmet, flippers and a large foam board and get in a river with level 3-4 rapids (they only go up to 5 from what we understood in Spanish)
Check!
Step 2 - get a crazy guide
Check!
Step 3 - hold on for dear life for the next 90 minutes!
Check!
I know looking at this picture looks like a calm river, and it is. The guide only took videos in the rapids so once we learn how to post videos, the fun can really begin

Step 4 - celebrate how awesome Púcon is...
Check!

Púcon we loved you and had a great time! Santiago, lets see what you have to offer...
